In the massive protest rally on ‘Kalasa Banduri’ water project the ‘Gandu Mettida Naadu’ Hubballi received massive attendance. The Kannada film stars made it a point to support the causes of Northern Karnataka issue.

Dr B Saroja Devi, V Ravichandran, Dr Shivarajakumar, Ramesh Aravind, Dr Jayamala, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Upendra, Darshan, Yash, Ganesh, Puneeth Rajakumar, Shruthi, Ashok, Doddanna, Avinash, Rockline Venkatesh, Srinivasamurthy, Vijaya Raghavendra, Anu Prabhakar, Ninasam Satish, Anirudh, Hema Chaudhary, Dr Sunder Raj, Pramila Joshai, KFCC President Thomas D Souza and committee members, Dr Raj Abhimanigala Sangha President Sa Ra Govindu, Kannada film directors Association MS Ramesh and team and others attended in the rally on September 13 that reminded ‘Gokak Chaluvali’ of 1982.

On Sunday morning the rally began with a Pooja at 10 am at Moorusavira Mata playground, Dajibana Pete, Victoria Road, Koppikar Road, Lamington Road it reached Sangolli Rayanna and Kittur Chennamma statue. The garland was made for the statues.

Later in Chennamma ground massive rally assembled. The Mahadayi water project Satyagrahama of farmers in Nargund has entered 60th day on Sunday.

What the Kannada film stars said at Rally:

Doddanna – it is our duty to reciprocate to ‘Annadhaata’. The film industry has come today to support farmers. We will stand behind farmer’s problems.

Dr Jayamala – The film industry personality do not show disparity. Akanda Karnataka is our breath. For Land, Language issue we are always with farmer. It is our duty to pay back the debts of love Uttara Kannada people have extended.

Dr Shivarajakumar – For land, water, language related problems of the state of Karnataka I am every ready. It is historic gathering for the Kannada cinema industry. We have asked for our right share of water. The farmers should not think of suicide. I am ready to come to farmers problems anywhere.

V Ravichandran – We have com united to the problem of farmers and region of Uttar Karnataka. The affection you have shown made us to come here. The pains of ours should reach the right place. For your problems we are always with you.

Upendra – Our country has taught to world how to give. At this region farmers and people are in trouble. Give us our share. For this type of causes KFI is always there to respond.

Puneeth Rajakumar – We are all Indiana. When there is problem for Karnataka we have to unite. The central government should solve the crisis without fail.

Darshan – If you give water let us give soft roti. When they don’t give water we will give ‘Khadak Roti’. We are always with farmers and trouble affected people of Karnataka.

Dhuniya Vijay - the youths should stop going to Goa, Goa vehicles should be stopped, and they will know the pinch.

Rangayana Raghu – Make loan but don’t die because of it. When you reach comfort then only pay loans. We need justice and our share of water.
